Men’s Thongs & G-Strings
Minimal coverage, a clean line and a better front fit
Men’s thongs and G-strings reduce fabric at the back while keeping the front supported. They are useful under fitted clothing because they minimize visible underwear lines, but the appeal goes beyond practicality: the low-profile cut feels light, looks confident and lets the pouch and fabric do the talking.
A thong normally has a narrow strip of fabric at the back, while a G-string uses an even slimmer string construction. The amount of front coverage also varies. Contoured pouches create room and definition, flat pouches feel closer to the body, and bulge-enhancing designs use shaping seams, stretch and pouch geometry for a more projected silhouette.
For a first thong, start with soft stretch microfiber and a waistband that matches your usual underwear preference. Mesh and sheer styles offer more airflow and a bolder look. The waistband should sit flat, the pouch should contain without pinching and the back should settle naturally rather than pulling. Check the product-specific size guide; if you are between sizes, choosing the larger one is usually more comfortable.
Our owned labels—including Justin+Simon, MaleBasics, MOB Eroticwear and DNGEON—are developed by our team and made in our factory in Colombia. We also select styles from other established labels, with brand and product details shown on every page. Want more back coverage? Compare men’s bikinis or cheeky trunks and boyshorts.
The right back shape is personal. A wider thong back can feel more familiar for a first pair, while a fine G-string creates the least coverage. Give yourself a few minutes to adjust the placement, especially with a new cut, and avoid sizing down simply to make the waistband sit lower.
